You might be thinking it will fix your computer, but it is actually a scam. It can charge you out of thousands of dollars.

I reached this site via microsoft.com-1294.info. This is an obvious attempt to fool people into thinking it's a Microsoft site. It seems pretty clear that this is a scammer. I was ultimate redirected to them from trendcave.com, making them another one to avoid.

Says you have "malware" on a clean computer.

I have had good experiences with iYOGI. I have contacted them several times, and they have always fixed my problem on their first try. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I never trusted iYogi. They try to scam you into thinking that you have viruses on your computer, even though you have a clean system. Avoid this website.

Contacted iyogi by mistake while trying to reach Lexmark support. Iyogi representative informed me my printer problem r elated to obsolete Windows 7. After selling me a three year computer contract I was advised by another salesperson that making my computer work properly would require Windows 8. The depth, incessant and intense sales pressure, and the continuing passage of time while enduring the hard sell make this the least trustworthy web service that I have encountered since I began using the Internet twenty years ago. As my advanced accounting professor once said, "Never deal with a crook. They know their business better than you do."

I have subscribed to iYogi since 2009. I have always found their service to be wonderful. I was skeptical about using a foreign service, giving them remote access to my computer, but there has never been an issue with hacked information. When they started they were a smaller company. At some point they either sold or grew and that's when the sales tactics began - something I don't like, but I am able to say "no" so that doesn't bother me too much. Recently I tried Geek Squad for my office computer because they advertised they will include 3 devices for the fee they charge. All they really did was run optimizer software via a chat window and never fixed the issue (said I'd have to pay more for a tech to come to my house). So I asked iYogi to check the problem and they fixed it first try. I am spoiled with the level of service I get from iYogi, damn it, and now their rates have gone up. But I'm hooked and I love how they say "Good bye and good karma!" when they end a call.

There was a time when an honest, hard working, competent tech could setup and make money performing remote support. But ... along comes iyogi. Folks, DO NOT allow anyone access to your computer unless you are very certain that they are Microsoft/Dell/Hp, or etc. All reputable vendors have contact information on their sites. Unfortunately, the iyogi links appear on the top of any search attempt. DO NOT be fooled, make absolutely sure. Hopefully, this company, and those like it, will go out of business and their "techs" will find real jobs, perhaps outside of the IT trade.

The 'agents' of this site prowl the computer help sites looking to post their scripted recommendations. This is not a Microsoft company and their 'help' is questionable but expensive. If you can get past the hired 'fan boyz' postings you'll find many people reporting bad experiences after dealing with these jokers. DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO REMOTELY CONTROL YOUR COMPUTER! (least of all someone you found on the internet)

☠ Security Issues Before use, you need to do a "search" to see just what you are "really" getting into... ☛ "A security researcher named Brian Krebs write about what he experienced when he testing iYogi's support: ☛ He writes about being encouraged to sign up for an "expensive support package" in order to resolve 'problems' that the iYogi rep claimed they found on his "virgin Windows XP installed" computer. ☠ iYogi insists on remote access to your computer. Which is very dangerous with an unknown/untrusted company as often they will "install" malware or even their own code to infect your computer to prove you have problems, then they try to charge you an arm and a leg to buy their products, which cost hundreds of dollars (not counting the monthly service fee), that have NOTHING to do with your computers problem! As they caused, installed or initiated the problem ti begin with! These "computer support" sites which "impost remote access" to your computer and your email account are very suspicious and often conduct scammy operations. ✍ As a result of the security researcher article, the makers of the Avast, one of the most respected Anti Virus companies in the world, announced that they are ending there relationship with iYogi and discontinued their use of iYogi as a 3rd Party Support Company for support services. ✍ Read the stories here: ***** ***** Reputation discussions - Avast Ends its Relationship With Controversial 3rd Party Support Company, Iyogi ***** ☠ Which lists these related sites: ***** http://antivirus.iyogi.com http://iyogi.com ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** (last reference is a subdomain for a file hosting service ***** =========================================

I am surprised to see complaints against iYogi. I seriously doubt if any of those are genuine complaints. Initially, I also posted a complaint against iYogi on one of the bulletin board and within hrs I received a telephone call from iYogi’s Customer Service Department. The iYogi Customer Service representative told me that he had thoroughly researched the entire matter. He then confirmed with me that I had no complaints against his company regarding the amount of money that his company had charged to us because iYogi had not charged us any money and that I had no complaints against his company regarding the quality of the services that his company had provided to us because iYogi had not provided us with any services. The iYogi Customer Service representative then asked me if there were anything at all that his company could do for me. So I told him that my mother’s computer keyboard was malfunctioning. Then, the iYogi Customer Service representative told me that he would try to fix my mother's computer problem free of charge the very next day. As arranged, the next day the iYogi Customer Service representative called me back, completely fixed my mother’s computer, and did not charge us any money at all for this repair. As a result, I retracted the complaints against iYogi that I had previously posted. Moreover, I now strongly endorse this company and recommend it to all consumers. As indicated above, my previous complaint never involved the quality of iYogi’s services or the money it charges for those services. My mother had simply called this company and iYogi had then simply informed her of the services it provides and the cost of such services. My mother was then free to decline these services, which she did, and iYogi never charged her anything at all. All of that is clearly stated in my previous complaint. However, as soon as iYogi’s Customer Service Department heard that I had made a complaint, a representative from that Department immediately investigated my complaint and then contacted me to see what he could do for me. Then, when I told the Customer Service representative that my mother’s computer was malfunctioning, he fixed her computer free of charge. I don’t think anyone could ask for more than that! So you can see why I now recommend iYogi.

I had number of virus threats and my mcafee protection expired. after spending an hour on internet and searching for mcafee and norton antivirus, I reached iyogi. I did not know what it was and was very concerned initially. the iyogi rep, Jazpreet was really patient with me. I appreciate that she allowed me time to stress my fears and concerns but she reassured me they are an upfront company. I had good help with getting my computer fixed. They installed the virus protection, removed all of the viruses and handled a few other maintenance issues at the same time. I feel good about my computer being fixed now and I like the idea of their being able to remote in to fix the computer verses talking/walking me through something I don't understand. This is good service. Thank you Iyogi.

I had 126 virus threats and didn't renew or have a virus protection. I purchased one, and when I called to get the virus downloaded, I did not know I had contacted Iyogi. So I did not know what it was and was a little concerned. You know how there are so many scams going on, and you don't know what company or who you can trust, well the initial Iyogi rep, Jaspreet (first name) was really patient with me. I appreciate that he allowed me time to stress my fears and concerns but he reassured me they are an upfront company. I had good help with getting my computer fixed. All the reps were professional and helpful. Thank you Iyogi.

I took their subscription because each time I called, someone picked up immediately.. Though, I was facing issues with getting my Acer laptop to sync with my Lexmark printer but still took two subscriptiosn for $300 for both my computers.. I had read the numerous complaints on iyogi and was on my guard, however I had absolutely no issues with them except that they really did spend a lot of time ensuring that nothing else was wrong with my computer.. It’s a relationship that works, they tell me what they are doing and I trust them to do the best for me and my computer..
