This is a non-profit journalism outlet founded in 2015. Its focus is on gun-related news and it was founded with seed money by Everytown for Gun Safety. The website has a large team of journalists and the founding editor is named James Burnett. Informative, detailed research such as this (https://www.thetrace.org/2017/03/gun-free-zone-facts/) can be found among a wide array of articles published over the last 4 years. They do not make "false claims about guns," commentators who say so are typically themselves misinformed about the gun violence epidemic (and often unwittingly pushing pro-firearms industry/ NRA spam).

False claims about guns. Apart of the endless masses of anti-second amendment spam. Very unethical.
