Annoying Pop-ups, WAAAY TOOO many foreign scripts tracking you around the site (and likel, possibly beyond), lack of genuine oomph to their reports - no REAL, detailed information, and last but not least - REQUIRES a subscription. Can you say Phishing? This is NOT acceptable. Period.

I used Consumer Reports before the Internet and have found the ratings to be very useful and informative. I have never found a high rated product to let me down. I use to subscribe to the magazine versionm every year and was, at first, happy to see the Internet version come along. I still trust the ratings a lot. However I have had problems with their online subscriptions. I subscribed online and was billed twice for one year and was given the runaround when I attempted to clear it up so i aroppws subscribine anually. A couple of years later, I received a phone call from CR tryingt to get me to subscribe. I refused but was subscribed and billed again anyway. While a subscription is a good value, I just don't like being billed when I specifically say I don't want to....or being billed twice.

This isn't the real Consumer Reports site. What people should be looking for is *****

Consumer Reports has a decades long excellent reputation; as a non profit testing out consumer goods I find it odd that it's been spammed with a poor child safety rating. CR has been at the forefront of getting unsafe toys and children's goods recalled for years. I say it's a great site- looks like it's been spammed by a disgruntled company who got a product rated poorly.
