Ist abebooks.com sicher?

Excellent site, except for all the POD dealers. One of Amazon's acquisitions that they did not ruin. Great for finding out of print books. The majority of book dealers are actual dealers not resellers who drop ship books or organizations that sell donated books with flaws not described. Unfortunately there are quite a few of those. When buying, make sure there is a detailed description of the book. Ask for a photo if you are unsure of the condition.

Superb site for finding top-quality second-hand books, and I've had fantastic service from their booksellers. However, they added me to their marketing mailing list without my consent, and they're still spamming me even though I've written to their customer service department to tell them to unsubscribe me. I even told them to close my account, and it didn't stop the spam. I'm really disappointed, because in all other ways I loved the site.

I ordered a book from Abebooks. I then had trouble with my postage service and the person I ordered it from even offered to give me refund, but the book eventually arrived. I'm very impressed with the service I receive. Furthermore there prices was the cheapest around for buying from overseas to South Africa. Awesome site.
