Ist drivermax.com sicher?

This is a piece of bloatware that will try to install other programs on your computer and will take control of your browser. In addition, the software doesn't do anything but search on the internet for the drivers you need, something that is easier and safer without this junk program

Best thing about DriverMax is NOT buying the "Pro" version, and completely Uninstalling it from your p.c. as quickly as possible. Thank goodness the free version can only crap on 1 driver at a time! Otherwise you may as well accept and enjoy the "challenge" of trying to put your system back to its proper working order, after you've installed any "driver update" that DriverMax has dumped onto your p.c. It managed to replace genuine, essential system-drivers (i.e. Intel), with none-manufacturer's ones that failed. It even managed to remove the audio driver, leaving my music & video downloads left in complete silence. Next, a Windows message prompted me to remove the incompatible audio driver and to reinstall the correct one. Every driver "update" failed straight after reboot. Had to run System Restore after each "update" - 99% of updated drivers prompted an error message saying they were incompatible/not working. A load of cack and a complete waste of time - and money, for those unlucky enough to be conned into buying it.

I recently bought a used Compaq Presario that was downgraded from vista to xp. It was missing 4 drivers.Yesterday i downloaded 2 drivers and they are working correctly.I always create a restore point.My only complaint is a pop up today asking me if the drivers i installed are working correctly.

Program User Interface = Crap , Need Register = Crap , No direct download from website = Crap , No driver download (i see update service only, wtf?) = Crap. Don't download it, it's useless and looks like malware, it's one of the worst thing I've ever seen.

Not sure how trustworthy the drivers are here. It detected new drivers for pretty much all of my hardware. I'm extremely knowledgeable about computer hardware and keep my drivers up to date, so I'm not sure where it's getting these newer drivers from (I get mine directly from Intel, Nvidia, and Realtek, not from the hardware manufacturers, so I know that the drivers I have are definitely the latest). That said, it did find the driver for my firewire chipset that I couldn't find anywhere (a TI chipset built into the motherboard, for some reason the driver is not available any where I've looked and Windows, which is supposed to have the driver, didn't find it). I really recommend not using software like this because you can really mess up your PC if gives you the wrong driver (i.e. a driver for another manufacturer's hardware, which I think is where it's getting the drivers it's recommending to me). Also, I'm willing to bet that by signing up for an account I will be getting more spam in my inbox...

Complaint is about DriverMax, the main product of drivermax.com 1. Installs Spamware & Malware 2. Stopped browser to install AVG Toolbar without permission or giving warning 3. Stopped browser session without warning when uninstalled 4. Hijacked browser homepage 5. Created browser search entry 6. Created browser add-on 7. Browser add-on had no remove option 8. Recommended driver failed to install 9. Recommended driver was listed as Greek and name was not connected to device manufacturer Avoid this dangerous malware distributing failed app. I wish there had been a clear warning

bait and switch. they list a plethora of device names that Windows spits out at the user in the hopes that a google search will lead users to their website. Then they dangle their supposedly huge library of drivers in front of you (which is actually just text and no download links) in order to get you to download their most-likely-spyware driver scanner software. it's all b.s. and the comments here supporting the site are clearly all bots.
