Definate and well documented tech support scam site. ***** http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.omnitechsupport.com

This website is for people who need 'Microsoft Certified Technicians' who try to scam you into thinking you have a virus on a perfectly clean system. Then they demand high amounts of money for their service. AVOID THIS WEBSITE AT ALL COSTS.

I spoke to omnitech, they scanned my pc, then told me it would cost $249.99 to fix it, I told them I couldn't afford that, and I'd have to check with my assistant, they then offered me a lower price, $149.99, again, I was on the phone for over an hour, saying I gotta check with my assistant, and then get back to you, guy said, ok, one time deal, $99.00 to fix my pc now, one time payment, gauranteed, I did not have them fix my pc.

Done a live chat with them (I don't live in the USA so cannot call them) and said I don't have a phone, which they said OK and then connected to my VM, I said I think I might have spyware, then they try to charge me $249.99 to remove the spyware and also, I did a clean install in a VM, I had no updates installed and apparently the spyware corrupted the updates that were never installed! They kept saying normal antivirus and malwarbytes pro were not good enough to protect a computer, and the software I would receive if I paid for it would get rid of ANY infection and I would never get an infection again, which any security product will miss at least a few threats, the person connected also showed me my junk files and said they will slow down my computer and there is more spyware in them too! They also installed a trial version of Advanced System Optimizer which did scans and detected the "spyware" which when I checked the results was detecting performance software which is not spyware! I would stay clear of this company and most tech support out there (most of them are scams!). If you have an issue with your pc, contact the manufacture or the shop where you brought it from if you still have warranty, do not let these scammers into your PC!

Help forum spammers for their shoddy tech support which will only leave you with more problems and a lighter wallet.

Went there for a Windows 8 problem (Evidently a Microsoft contractor). Technician said my (new) computer had a virus. (Also told me to dump Kaspersky and Malewarebytes). Said he'd have to install run a special clean/repair utility that would take 40 minutes to run and cost $199.00. Believing that W8 wouldn't run unless I did, I paid. He then, without explanation, transferred me to another technician who, without installing or running any utility routine, simply fixed the problem. (Presumably she wasn't in on the scam.) Spoke the next day with a supervisor, who did little but argue in a thick foreign accent I could barely understand. Finally told him he could reverse the credit-card transaction or have a judge tell him to do it. That got his attention; he cancelled the credit-card charge on the spot. (

The whole thing is a scam from hell. The guy who left the semi-positive comment here is one of their people. What useful information is he talking about; their fee scale? I didn't find anything useful. I called their number and was connected with a man who had very poor english. These are the tech support guys in some other country, who they obviously use to write the so-called "Support Forum" comments. When you look on their site (omnitechsupport.com) you find coments like this: "hey guyz, i m one of the big fan of windows xp." Or, "For the gamers XP is the best Operating System." Or, "i am always prefer windows Xp rather then other..." Again, I didn't find anything useful, except for their fee scale (several simple services, such as spyware removal, is $34.95). I can't beleive that Sony and antivirus companies have a link to these bozos. All about the money I guess. I asked a couple of questions about a hidden object that pops up on my system every once in a while (a false positive), and they kept insisting that I give them control over my computer in order to help. Research their 800 #. As recently as April and May of 2011 people have noted that the ***** number calls them about modeling/acting talent. This is either their latest attemp at scamming, or their latest addition to a plethora of scams and shams. Research omnitech, you will find several complaints.

I just want you to know that early thus morning when I woke up, my computer was OFF and when I rebooted, the HARD DRIVE WAS FRIED!!!! THANKS A LOT for downloading a corrupt binary file for Microsoft Office 2007. Not only did you get 35.00 dollars out of me, but you have cost me the price of a NEW COMPUTER! I called HP and they said an UPDATE crashed my computer! Thanks for your help, though. If anyone wants to BUY a new computer, I would gladly refer them to YOU! I hope you all are having a good laugh. You should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. As a matter of fact, I think I will. I will be sure to visit your website and WARN anyone as gullible as I was, that YOU ARE NOT a reputable site and YOU DO NOT help anyone. Go to lunch on my dime.... You have 35.00 dollars to spend!

May look suspicious, some bad spots to avoid (paying with credit cards, online transaction, etc.) but very useful information. This is a Microsoft website (found out by looking up the server info). You might wait long for a technician. But I recommend to not use this website on a Vista computer, because they will disable the UAC (User Acount Control) and run backround tasks that will harm your computer (exeption: Use the symantec UAC because they can't disable it. :) Also have a fast computer (x64 bit edition of Windows, Mac is already 64bit).

An attempt to verify the ViewCart paypal transaction system from this site exposed a cross server scripting security issue.. Use extreme caution

No information as to who owns this site, no contact name or phone number is provided anywhere on this site... Use with Extreme caution (Anyone asking for complete remote access to your business computer should not hide basic contact information)
