Данные о владельцах сайта отсутствуют. Софтодром опубликовал целое расследование с разоблачением этой компании: ***** Компания, судя по статье, вовсе не американская, а вполне российская, но упорно это скрывающая. Контактные данные указывали на американца, никогда об этой конторе на слышавшего.

Я бы не стал платить за этот софт, т.к. ему есть хорошие бесплатные альтернативы, но в нём нет ничего вредоносного или мошеннического. У них было очень неудачное начало: в феврале 2013 к их установщику были прикручены всякие посторонние трудновыводимые тулбары, да ещё во время раздачи пробника сдох сервер активации. Люди оказались расстроены этими обстоятельствами и сгоряча наставили плохих оценок. Теперь Soft4boost исправились.

Website is safe to visit but beware of downloading their software, go to Softpedia instead and download there because they host safe downloads. They do offer free products but nothing special you can't find elsewhere. Their paid products are not worth buying since many freeware products can perform the same tasks just as well or even better. I tried several of their free products and I was not impressed with them. They offer no portable software, everything has to be installed with their installer which I don't completely trust. Although I did not find any malware in the products that I tried, their products do appear to be junkware or rogueware.

Despite having the option not to install Babylon Toolbars, etc, this developers software "Soft4Boost Update Checker" forces the installation of "somoto" anyway, and does so without the users knowledge or consent - re-installs then change the available options because the installer users "BetterInstall" which will constantly change the goal-post's and bring up various different offers on subsequent installs. I'd steer clear of this developer if I were you.
