"IRS.com is in no way associated with or endorsed by the United States Department of Treasury or the Internal Revenue Service. It is a non-governmental, privately owned website, operated by Banks.com, Inc." You have to dig very deep into this website to find this disclaimer. Their intention is to fool people into thinking this is the official ***** website, but it is not.

they are trying to scam you by pretending to be the IRS. They never say it in those words.

This is not the official IRS site. It uses the irs.com domain to fool people looking for tax information from irs.gov. BEWARE!

Don't be deceived! This site is not the official Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of the US government.

There is no such thing as irs.com Only irs.GOV

The correct Internal Revenue Service website is IRS.GOV (not .com)

I arrived at ***** by accident, thinking it was the ***** site. It appears to be above board, but I am suspicious of it simply because of the URL.

Site that squat and count on a type usually are quite sleazy. I landed on this by mistake and quickly got off. DON"T trust squatters. At best, they are deceptive. At worst, they could be scammers or worse.

If you have to typo-squat a government website, you are running a SCAM. The IRS website is at ***** not .com
2
Spam emails about BBB (Better Business Bureau) and IRS (Internal Revenue Service). Spoofed addresses, such as alert[at]irs.com, subscriptions[at]irs.com, accounts[at]irs.com, etc. When clicking on the link provided in the email, the user will not be taken to the official BBB or IRS site, but will instead land on a compromised page which contains the BlackHole Exploit. More info: *****

This site is not part of the official Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This site currently redirects to hXXp://www.banks.com/taxes/
6
This is a typo landing site. Taxpayer types in irs.com, and gets this site instead of the one he really wanted, irs.gov.
