cheat engine does not have a virus how ever when using the installer there are adware in the installer it self which does have a virus which you need to be care on clicking the next button to fast will install the adware that you don't want so don't click to fast or else you will get a virus and then you will start to blame cheat engine having a virus which does not have a virus it was you who install it not cheat engine. if you guys got the virus from the cheat engine installer then you need to install malwarebytes it's anti virus software100% safe and it will remove this adware and virus that you have. again cheat engine it self is 100% safe but not the installer because of the ads in the installer you guys have to be very careful when installing the cheat engine software don't click so damn fast on the next button that's how you get virus's. i give this 4/5 reason adware in the installer i would give it 5/5 but since it does have adware and virus in the installer i have to give it a 4/5 because of that but the cheat engine software is freaking awesome :) it's a must have software if you like cheating on games that is.

This site is safe and it's forum can not do anything harmful because using cheat engine to make game trainers(game cheating programs) is mostly for professionals and they can realize if a code is harmful or not or a program is infected or not. also the program itself can not harm our system unless we use it in a wrong way and not for games. we can use cheat engine to make game harder or easier to enjoy from playing more. a very nice tool for gamers.

Cheat engine itself is a good program... if you download the RAR version instead of the installer. The installer for cheat engine is notorious for having a thing called 'open candy' which gives you software recommendations based off what you use, BUT it's a terrible, horrible, no good program and you can't chose to not install it... if you got the installer. They do note that anti-viruses do tend to pick up some red flags ... if you used the installer. So if you're looking to get cheat engine, use the RAR download, not the installer! Also one note: be careful with what the community gives you, the community for cheat engine isn't always 100% trustworthy!
