Le site freewarefiles.com est-il sûr ?

It has dubious "ads" like "You have won £500 from TESCO!" and "You have been selected to become a millionaire!".  It is fairly obvious that these are what they appear to be.  For me, this does not reflect well on the site and, so, I shall look elsewhere for my freeware.

Attempted to download 2 programs and on both occasions my browser and Win blocked the running of them. This is one Very dodgy site - they appear to not vet software listings for credibility and safety (and for malware infected programs)... The 'positive' comments made here at WOT are total BS... don't believe them and don't buy into them.

Why I placed so many options is because many downloads have different options take your own risk. Never trust free ware not unless you want some virus's to go along with it. I downloaded something other night that was freeware it took control over my computer. Shut it down good thing I had antivirus program 7 high risk virus's hit it and 5 medium ones as well it even changed my proxy server connection on me had awhile to fix it today after I got done takeing about 7 different files that I didn't want on my computer it forced a download on me without my permission. If you don't know nothing about how to fix these problems and take a risk on getting something like I did your going to be out alot of money getting a computer tech to fix it good thing i am a computer tech but we all take our risks on something that seems good and appealing too us trying to download it to help us in many ways so if you do download anything on this website make sure you got a good antivirus program that will hold it up I got AVG it works well for me it does keep other programs from messing your computer but those keylogger trojans those JS AGENTS and other generic adwares hit it it did try to take a toll on my computer other night they did shut it down but AVG kept it from crashing it.

***** is a very useful website. They provide literally the largest collection of freeware on the web and host the programs which no longer exist. Descriptions are provided by the authors of the software. The downside of the site is the unethical download button which leads to a download manager that tries to trick users to install malware on their computer and add adware to the victim's PC. This is very unethical and a big downside for novices. Using the site is at your own risk and you are cautioned to exercise caution

Terrible site for just adding anything to their listings, even though they claim to check the downloads they quite obviously don't as a lot of them have bugs or viruses. This site used to good but it's became greedy now and only cares about making money, shame really, especially when they make claims that are just plain lies!.
