I have used their online "virtual" fax service for over 10 years. They are trustworthy.
Although I do get some junk faxes every now and then like I used to on my paper fax, it is not their fault. Roofing companies and vacation packaging travel agencies need to find a better marketing approach.

Efax corporate is a safe and legit electronic fax service. And as "mriedl" mentioned in his comment bellow, we have also received spam from someone posing as efax, but the sender was not actually efax.

Efax is a safe site. We've been using it for years. The service itself is also reasonably stable. We have encountered some spam posing as efax, but efax is was not the actual source of it. I think that is where the bad rating came from.
