Calm down, calm down, calm down. I have the true explanation for all this mess. IAC isn't a bad company. MindSpark (funwebproducts creator) isn't either. People are just too lazy to click the checkbox to turn the "Make MyWebSearch my homepage" off. MindSpark's products are not harmful in any way, just people and antiviruses just overreact. Nothing is bad about Mindspark and/or IAC.

IAC is a publicly traded company, and owner of many reputable sites such as ***** and Vimeo, as well as the publication Newsweek. It is very safe.

This site is safe, however, MindSpark properties are not (MyWebSearch etc). They own good companies such as 'Garage Games' (Great games! - Marble Blast Ultra for an example), ***** (Safe Search Engine, however, toolbar is questionable), ***** (Good dating site), College Humor (Funny, safe site), etc. They do own quite a lot of bad sites though unfortunately. I'd stay careful when visiting their other sites, but there are some good ones.
