I have been using this site for 2 yrs and have not had any issues. They do know your name, family member names or a partner's name, an approximate age, phone number(s), address...but that's why you go there "your looking for someone". I have better results with this site when searching for someone than some of the other more popular site's. You need to watch what your doing as if you keep scrolling down the page you'll see options for other info but look to the right top of each sections and you will see these are Ads, when you click on any of these links is when you may run into trouble. These Ad providers I assume are a financial source (sponsors) for nuwber.com

Background - They connected personal information for someone we know to a telemarketer's phone number, causing this person to receive personal threats with horrifying content from people that were receiving the telemarketer's calls and googled the phone number the call came from. Further, their automated removal system does not work. I'll describe why we checked each particular reason. Poor Customer Service: Their removal system forces you put in your personal email, sends you a removal link, but when you click the link even within minutes of receipt it gives you an error on their website. I suspect they are just using this system as a way to collect verified email addresses. Potentially Illegal: It is illegal in many jurisdictions to publish personal information that results in harassment, and could also be considered libel and defamatory. Misleading claims or unethical: They claim you can remove listings. You cannot. There is no information on their website about who they are, where they are located, or how to serve legal notices. I find this extremely unethical. Privacy risks: They are publishing false personal data. Suspicious: I find it extremely suspicious that there is no address or name of the owners of the site on the site itself. They seem to know that what they are doing is wrong and fear the consequences of being located and held responsible.
