The information on the website is in many cases incomplete and not up to date. if you use this information and it is wrong, the state will hold you responsible and will charge you interest and penalties. This website is also part of New Jersey's efforts to make you work for them for free. If you have to file sales tax or payroll tax returns in NJ, they will not accept paper returns or checks. You must use this website to file and pay electronically. Or in other words, you must do the data entry of the information on the return and process the tax payment for the state. People used to be employed to do this, but now you get to do it without pay for the state. This is just another cost and mandate the state is forcing on businesses as part of the way NJ is driving businesses out of the state.
