Crowd funding site. However when you find out (no matter of that Trucker action is a good action or a bad one) funds can just be redirected to other goals without donators' consent, you can only come to the conclusion they are nothing but a bunch of thieves. Sorry, my trust in this service is gone forever. If you ever want me to donate to a project of yours through crowd funding then you'll have to pick a different crowd funding platform, as GoFundMe will NEVER be trusted by anymore EVERY again!

I posted a medical fund raiser and was impressed with the professionalism and ease of setting up the appeal for help; I was very satisfied and unlike another negative reviews on WOT I did not receive spam, the funds raised went into my account quickly and I was notifed immediately and given a link to thank the donor. A complete accounting of the donations was always available to me. Perhaps some political fund raising is prohibited but GoFundMe should not be a vehicle for that type of activity anyway. They take a very small fee per donation but that is extremely worth the convenience and "reach" that the site gives. They have to generate some income to stay viable. I consider GoFundMe a valuable help when misfortune strikes.

NO matter how much you provide and how much or lil you raise the withdrawal to your account will not happen. Providing all the bills, lease, business reg, bank info and certifications yet still they want to phish people govt ID and even or those who gave them DL, passport and all still they are awaiting money over 2 yrs. AND, they expect us to provide government ID which in Canada it is illegal, it's even written on the ID and passport: NOT to be used as ID, property of Canadian government. The privacy act is clear on that, and keeping the money hostage in return for govt ID is a federal offence here,yet they still do business here and impose these rules. I have reported them to RCMP fraud dept. They know about them, not the first person to be scammed by them. They keep replying that it's their terms, who cares, if the terms are illegal doesn't make them ok! People with positive experience are 3yrs and before, looks like mostly all negative after that. Don't try to email back and forth to explain you will not win any argument even if they know you are right. AVOID AT ALL COST! It's quite disturbing using people in need urgently and scam them like this.. I read that they use the funds to invest hence why they keep you in a loop of 'security verification' all bogus claim. Be very wary if you have money in donations, best you ask to send back to people and get them to send you directly with PP or FB donations, which I knew that before!

***** (no WoT reputation at all!) vs ***** looks suspiciously like one is spoofing the other. Neither mentions the other, and none of these 20 reviews (too few for a million $ site) mentions the other, leaving the serious question unaddressed. FWIW: My sister successfully used www.gofundme.com several years ago, to raise a few thousand dollars for a Nuer orphan named Kahn, lamed by a land mine, to get him life saving surgery, and him and his grandmother to a UN refugee camp.

Another reviewer wrote: "It is a way for people to give to the causes they believe in. As with any site, be sure you know who you are dealing with. " Sadly this does not hold true for conservative Christians wanting to support brothers and sisters in Christ under attack through hate and discrimination from those who proclaim to be tolerant. gofundme.com opted to discriminate against Aaron and Melissa Klein of Sweet Cakes and pulled their campaign claiming it violated their terms and conditions.
