Безопасен ли shtyle.fm?

Got some unsolicited mails on it. Once opened,it made me its member with a name I use with family friends without my knowledge.It sends mails on your behalf without your knowledge. Totally illegal and it is difficult to get rid of unsolicited membership. jitendra K Gulia

I think I picked up a hitchhiker virus/malware object from this site. It is the "about:blank" thing and it is damn near impossible to get rid of. I run Avira anti-virus and it continues to pop up a warning about a svhost.exe when I go to shtyle.fm and Avira has NEVER been wrong in years. With daily virus profile updates it is a terrific freeware site. Anyway, this shtyle.fm is a social thing and I think it is infected. A hitchhiker shows itself when you click on a link to go to some site while surfing and suddenly the page goes blank momentarily and the words "about:blank" appear in your address bar...then it instantly goes to the site you wanted to go to. It is a re-direct and the hitchhiker sends all your searches to advertisers who buys them. If you notice this...good luck. Damn thing is like a tick. You can read about this "about:blank" thing on the internet...lots of people have problems with it. I have tried every single malware remover/ spyware remover and so far CCleaner and SUPERantispyware (free edition) are the only two that could pick up anything so I uninstalled all the others I had downloaded that could not find it. Avira (free home edition) always puts up its little popup warning and stops anything from entering the laptop and asks me if I want to let it in or quarantine it or stop it.

I have been using this site for several years and I know that the site is annoying in many ways, but if you know its issues, it can be nice to use. Many people complains about spam, it is because when you register, they ask you your email and a password... people gets confused here and gives his email password (the register page is confusing at this point, maybe on purpose). If you give your email password, then the site will send some gift to all your contacts (without your permission and knowledge)... You don't have to give your email password, you can give any password, it will be used to logging the site. It has annoying pop up windows and privacy issues, also, it is not safe for children. It has also usability issues, but it is ok when you get used to this.
