Twice now I have reced emails claiming to be from AOL and telling me my account was abount to suspend to non payment. Of course if you follow the link you get a fake AOL site asking for every personal detail exept my inside leg measurement. On both occasions I contacted AOL dirictley by phone. On getting through To AOL I got he impression that they really couldn't be bothered and would rather I went away. However on both occasions I impessed on them how imortant scams like this were to thier customers, and they should do something about it. eventially I recieved a VERY reluctantpromise that the matter would be investigated and the would definately get back to me. Result so far. NOTHING!!!! One has to believe that AOL don't really give a monkys about customer security and complaints. Am seriously thinking of changing my provider.

If you cancel your membership and get a cancellation reference they continue to take monthly fees from your bank account for several months and then argue over a refund. Then when you think it's all resolved 6 months later they start taking money directly from your bank account again! Give them a VERY wide berth! I spent several hours on the phone to their call centre in New Delhi trying to sort out the mess and even had to write to their Vice President of Member Services Office and they still got it wrong. Be warned!
