When was the last time you checked your credit score? Before you dismiss it and think it's no big deal, think again.

Your credit rating influences everything in your life, from home loans and auto loans to credit cards and insurance. It even affects your chances of landing a job or securing an apartment rental. Even more scary: Did you know cell phone companies will check your credit score before deciding to grant you a service plan?

Certified financial planner Anthony Canale urges folks to do a credit score check a few times a year. \"It is a simple thing that people can do for themselves,\" he says. \"It helps to determine what their credit looks like.\"

Some points to ponder: Mortgage lenders will review credit reports as part of the application process. (Good credit can save thousands of dollars on your mortgage.) Your credit report will typically be reviewed by a prospective landlord or rental agency. When you apply for a credit card, the company will review your credit score to see if you qualify and what terms you should receive. Home and auto insurers use consumer credit information along with your application data in determining interest rates and terms.

For all these reason, it's so important to know the score.

I would say that some business news is worth reading here but not other.
It's def not the place to learn more about lifestyle and the same is true about their "proficiency" in investing. I do not believe them in this case. Plus, if you want to join pro club be ready to pay almost 3 hundred bucks which is quite expensive for the medium of not a high level. Maybe I just pick on for no reason.
This is the best financial news website which always publishes all actual news at the click of my fingers and we can find out what happens in the world immediately. Anyway, I think this is not a secret that CNBC is a must have for those who are involved in the trading field including me.
I have been always using the information from CNBC in business and investing sections for making the right decisions during opening and closing trade deals. To be honest, I never understand people who always trust the analytics of Jim Cramer, vice versa I’m always doing everything on purpose the opposite of what he says.
I could barely read any further after an article quoted a Fed statement that blamed inflation on "supply and demand imbalances," without any mentioning of increased money printing, stimulus spending, or overall federal government spending. I generally still trust this news source, nonetheless.
Great news channel of all the time and I am not sure why many people tell that it's full of lies, all other is full of lies as well on so many levels I can't even describe if I wanted too, it's all not that good entirely and possibly.
Good Business News... but... Like FOX/CNN biased political stance on US news reporting, frequently sourcing statements from unproven websites. :rollseyes
What isn't to love about CNBC. Competent earnings reports, great interviews. I visit CNBC at least 2-3 times every day. Big fan. The auto play videos can be annoying when I'm in my office. ;)
Shame on you! The article contains false statements, causing inciting the riots and protests now The liberal left which went to far into socialism and redistribution of wealth, multicultural society in a global market. led to a "We the people" revolt against those policies The liberal left caused a desire to return to the Constitution, morality, love of country, law and order
Mad Money, with Jim Cramer, is technically an illegal show. One man should not have so much influence over the market, in particular, in that he had endorsed drug dealing.
One individual should never have such central influence over investor behavior such as Jim Cramer had.
Stock pickers need to be on a forum, with social voting via tv remotes and cable boxes with integrated voting, as not to fund things such as drugs ever again.
CNBC has too much influence on investors and economic activity as a whole.
I never signed up for this:
