Is github.com Safe?

As a total noob developer I am a big fan of the github company and I know that they are number 1 powered development platform in the world. Even major companies like Mercedes, 3M, KPMG and many others are using the services of github. I would like to highlight that GITHUB provides the best educational materials for those who want to start their career as developers. Since the moment I started studying here, I have learned how to code better and faster with GitHub copilot. Thanks to that, I have already found a job with a high salary in one of the major European companies. Of course, it was hard to navigate around their website but it is worth it.

THIS SITE IS NOT SAFE! Russian scammers started to heavily abuse this service. They use it as hosting for scam pages. It has incredibly bad support. I report a phishing site (or repository, whatever it is called here), and it stays up and running FOR DAYS. Nobody cares to take it down quickly. Total shame, absolutely total. PS. In order to submit an abuse report, one need to solve a quest. I cannot solve a half of them, because the owners use non-intuitive pics. Position a hammer in proper direction. Who knows which side of a hammer is front? Very unhappy.
