Le site hotels.com est-il sûr ?

I paid a room reservation on this hotels.com website, and when I arrived at the hotel, there was no reservation. The employees told me they have no relation with hotels.com. So this is pure scam. ***** is taking your money for a service that doesn't exist.

I've recently recieved a "Thank you" e-mail for "joining ***** Rewards!" program. Needless to say, I've never signed up to this site. I wouldn't make a fuss about a little spam, but the contents of the mail made it appear as if, in fact, I had previously registered as a user (Membership Number and all) - which I can say without question I have not.

At the time of this review, in Finland there is 643 police reports towards hotels.com. The site have charged Finnish customers credit cards from few hundred euros to several thousands. The Finnish police now recommends to people to avoid hotels.com at all costs.

I have 2 conformation emails saying the my reservations are paid and confirmed and that I have earned 2 rewards nights, but my account still does not have the credits for travel over 5 months ago AND they are unable to help me. I was about to place reservations for a week long trip, and I'm taking my business elsewhere. SCAM and terrible customer service STAY AWAY FROM HOTELS.com!!!!

They were fast and efficient with taking my money.  But when I found my expensive suite was covered in stains (floors, every piece of furniture, curtains), the tub had someones hair in it, the TV didn't work, we killed 5 brown recluse spiders (and had one hitchhike back home with us in our luggage)... (All photographed & available for viewing.)  And of course, there were no other rooms available at that point, in that hotel or any other local hotels. It was bad enough the manager of the hotel was going to give us our money back, until he found out we booked through Hotels.com, then he said sorry, it has to be handled by them.  When I wrote/called about it, I got no response from them at all. I have used hotels.com for three hotel stays now. No problems with the bookings or payments. Not sure if I'm getting the best possible prices for the hotels. More research required on that . The amount of email from them is about what I expected; wouldn't consider it "over the line" so far.
