Is pennfoster.edu Safe?

I requested information from this "school" over 1 year ago. I have repeatedly been receiving emails since promoting their services despite unsubbing time and time again. A friend of mine fell for Penn Foster in 2009 and has the wrong email being sent to her meant for another student several times. It is apparent PF is no more than a sub-par institution selling overpriced G.E.D.'s and other useless pieces of paper. I am thankful that I did not enroll with these people. Seeing the inability to manage their emailing system makes me very nervous about other highly personal information that they have in their possession.

Deceitful advertising. Friend had supposedly failed certain course chapter, and when called to speak with teacher he was hung up on. Even tho you fail a certain section they allow you to continue the program. Figure this; if you fail a section in any other school you can not continue to a higher level, yet Penn Foster allows you to continue. Caution this is not a college!! Penn foster is a career center!! This program preys upon those seeking a higher education. Go somewhere else. I had another friend as well, when a relative died; she was forced to tend the living relative in which she was forced to resign from the school, and in which when she called to speak with the career center she was told thats ok, you will still be charged since you will have no money to pay for the program as you attend your recently deceased relatives better half you will be sent to collections and we will ruin your credit. Please stay clear and do not be fooled. Get a higher education at your local college!! Thanks
