Any person can fill out a Ripoff Report, which then appears in search results against the company in question. Even if the "report" is false, Ripoff Reports won't take it down. Instead, they charge companies thousands of dollars f for the opportunity to rebut. Site allows anyone to openly libel and defame another person or business without any accountability or even their identity. They they offer a $2000 resolution as the only way to have it removed. Most of the defamatory remarks are written and posted by the site themselves.

This is a total scam. Anyone can write anything about a company and they CHARGE the company to maybe have it removed. This isn't a legitimate site, by any means. Just a way to extort people and companies. They don't even investigate claims. Stay away!

Google YouTube for ABC television stations and others such as 60 Minutes doing an expose on this website. Shocking. They request money to remove or "update" unfavorable reviews. Much of the items on this website are lies or the opinions of people who don't understand contracts, etc. When you sign a contract you as well as the company have to abide by the contract. All you have to do is google rip off report to see how rip off report is a rip off. What makes me mad is to think I actually used to read their reviews and think they might be accurate. NO MORE ever. Some unhappy customer writes some crap and they now cant even work it out with the seller, because they caused a negative report they cant even pull out even if they want to, until the seller pays money to Ripoff Report, by becoming a member, by paying a fee to Ripoff Report. Ripoff report is the biggest ripoff !!!! By posting on this site, the seller has no incentive to wort with you, the customer. Unlike BBB, for example.
