Trusted Sources
Ratings in WOT degrade with time, as the rating gets "older" it's "value" decreases. Once the value reaches nil (zero) comments from trusted sources are automatically removed from the Scorecard. The reputation of the site remains until other ratings are given; whether they agree or disagree with the current reputation status.
The list of trusted sources includes:
Adult
- Generic
- Scorecard entries are identified with the "Appeared on an Adult listing"
Malware
- hpHosts - visit
- Entries on the scorecard come from the database directly.
- Malware Domain List - visit
- Entries on the scorecard come from the database directly.
- MalwareURL.com - visit
- Entries on the scorecard come from the database directly.
Pharmacy
- LegitScript - visit
- Entries on the scorecard come from the database directly.
PHISH
- PhishTank - visit
- Entries on the scorecard come from the database directly.
Spam
- SpamCop - visit
- Entries on the scorecard come from their statistics of spamvertised websites, not from their blacklist. These SpamCop entries have very little effect on the site's reputation and are referenced as an advisory.
- joewein.de LLC - visit
- Entries on the scorecard come from the database directly via the new listings blacklist.
Other
These are other sources for obtaining lists of Spam / PHISH / Scam / Malware domains and IP's that are not automatically used with WOT internally. These are user contributions and should be investigated before using them.
