AntiVir Free update problem

Sometimes the free version of Avira AntiVir has trouble in updating from heavy traffic on the servers. When you install AntiVir, it has a preset time-out limit that may fail from high server load.

This error is represented in the events update log as being:

[UPDLIB] [ERROR] Download manager: An error occurred inside the WinINet library.

You have two options in upgrading, you can:

Manually update

Or run this command via Windows Start -> Run

"C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\update.exe" /DM="0" /NOMESSAGEBOX /receivetimeout=120
