Summary: bs.serving-sys.com is an ad-site redirector used heavily by the scam worthy Planet49 personal information gathering scammer company. Planet49 ad "surveys" linked to by bs.serving-sys.com always promise vouchers in return for participation, but never deliver - instead they take the victim through a never ending series of personal information gathering pages (phishing) with no eventual reward. While it might not be illegal, Planet49's ongoing use of this deceitful information gathering tool is utterly immoral, and is a scam as far as I'm concerned. Detail: Google, Yahoo and other sidebar web ad servers often carry "adverts" placed by Planet49 via the adserver bs.serving-sys.com, which take the form of a fake "survey" of opinions on a topical subject, usually presented as a multi choice "quiz" with the promise of winning vouchers from either a hardware store (e.g. Bunnings) or a grocery store (e.g. New World, Woolworths) or a petrol company (e.g. Gull). For today's example, in New Zealand, we are undergoing a controversial flag change process, and today's "quiz" was which of the 4 flag designs we liked least, promising petrol vouchers to winners... but Anybody who clicks on the sidebar ad thinking they are participating in a survey, is whisked off by bs.serving-sys.com to a suspicious planet49 site e.g. ***** which starts the phishing process. The owners of bs.serving-sys.com have continued to assist this immoral exploitation of innocent and ignorant web users perpetrated by Planet49 over many years. BEWARE. DO NOT CLICK ON SCAMMY SIDEBAR SURVEYS.

This site and this company are totally trustworthy. If you rate it as anything else, then I start to have real doubts as to the value of WOT and if I find more such undeserved warnings, I will ditch this add-on.

I was accessing the ***** website and suddenly a bs.serving-sys.com tab opened without my request and WOT gave me a warning message, so I came here to check ratings and comments. I can't tell for sure if it downloads malware or pops up porn, because either immunization from Spybot S & D or SpywareBlaster blocked it in my hosts file and wouldn't let me access it even when I ignored WOT's warning. However, if you notice the "Good site" or "Other" positive comments (I sorted comments by "Agrees" to get those all together), they list that it is "for the Maxfactor one" or "the corporate Carrabba's site" [Carrabba's Italian Grill] or "Bunnings Warehouse" or links to "fedex" in the U.S. or "VOO" in Belgium. I checked ALL of those websites and WOT has no problem – nor does it block – any of them. Obviously, ***** cannot logically be all of the first three mentioned – or any of them for that matter. Some of the comments make no logical sense as to why they are posted here or at least are not factual as of ***** and appear not to be in 2010 and 2011 (see negative ratings and comments from that same time period). I can't verify if the two "Other" positive comments about safe links are true or not, because I won't unblock access to a suspicious website/domain, but most phishing sites redirect to valid-looking (but not usually the real) sites; that's why they are called phishing sites. Some (or all?) of these comments and their negative opinions about WOT sound suspicious to me, as if they are fake ones written by people connected to bs.serving-sys.com. I've seen similar occurrences on both McAfee Secure Search and Norton Safe Web. Those two security sites officially list bs.serving-sys.com as safe, but most of their (not many) community member comments strongly disagree and reflect most of the ones found here. Also, the vast majority of many comments I found via Google were strongly negative about bs.serving-sys.com. So, even though I didn't actually suffer malware, adult content or redirect problems from entering that website, I did receive an unwelcome, unsolicited IE8 tab which opened and tried to direct me there along with ads. That's why I rated it very poor in all 4 categories. I could have picked another ad- or browser-related category, but phishing or other scams also seemed appropriate.

This URL is operated by Mediamind, in fact it IS adserving tool, but I spoke to real people there and by my opinion it is not evil in general. It is about advertising, but they are NOT (as far as I know) collecting any personal data and they will not allow to use any of their tool for spam activities. If you would be suspicious, let you contact ***** and I believe they will fix things.

They were posing as Commonwealth Bank in Gmail. It's really dangerous. I mean, what if people like, click on it and enter their details?
