Great site. Although some experience problems with all of their ad's and pop-ups I use AdBlocker Ultimate and don't have the problem. In fact, when I opened the site it stopped 41 ads from showing up. This type of extension is easy to install for those seeking to avoid that problem. Excellent site for history.

This is a heavily scripted site, with pop-ups, anti-ad-blocking notices, etc., as well as being a heavily biased corporate version of "history", thus I do not consider this site to be very trustworthy or worthwhile.
I would suggest pursuing articles from accredited universities that do not seek profit from their unique versions of history instead.

This in no doubt has to be the best site to learn such as WWII, Cold War, Black Death, etc.

The so-called "History" channel has been churning out nothing but paranoia, conspiracy and outright crap that is historically irrelevant in every single way imaginable.
Some of their general entertainment programming is good (if only it was on other channels instead) but rubbish like Ancient Aliens is mocked in today's modern culture for a REASON.
I have no harsh feelings towards them, but YOUR mileage may vary.
