Great organization but they spammed me.

The IEEE is a venerable and respected organization. Unfortunately, they now appear to have a spam problem, as I have been receiving multiple unsolicited emails at my work address, inviting me to become an IEEE member or advertising products from their marketing partners.
The messages are apparently sent by 'marketo.com', but contain IEEE logos and are written in such a way as to appear to be 'official' communications from the IEEE.

IEEE is one of the largest engineering association in the world. This site fills with information about techniques, standards, and research papers.

IEEE is a website for Electrical Engineers, but not exclusively engineers. The curious are encouraged to this site, but it is somewhat technical. If you are interested in electricity, this is the site for you! IEEE is a very proud and reputable organization. They were around at the turn of the century!
