Justhost is the worst Registrar we ever encountered. I believe that majority of negative reviews against them are real people who rated them two stars are way too lenient. Support chat is removed without resolving issue and no re-initiation of a chat. You will definitely have to explain your concern again. Never use their Domain Registrar Service, you will not be in control of your Domain as Justhost fails to provide even basic tools for this. We have disabled GDPR masking in order to deliberately expose our data. So far many weeks have passed, support tickets created, they do not react in any way beyond advising you to use their tools on your dashboard over and over again. The tools that affect your Domain only on the dashboard. After weeks of struggles to make our data visible on Whois, we finally decided to start moving our Domains to another Registrar. And discovered that feature Unlock Domain Transfer doesn't work too. Patiently waiting concept has prooven itself useless. Fact is, domain got unlocked only after we have shown our teeth to their support and the ticket got finally escalated to technical team member who unlocked the domain. And we were finally able to submit a Transfer Application. Registrar-receptor advised it can take upto 10 days dependent on, unfortunately, Justhost. More than a half of this time passed, so far Justhost failed to release the Domain. The most rubbish about Justhost is that you are paying for a Domain and you can not utilise your own right to even to publish your data, not saying about a basic feature to transfer your domain name to another Registrar. I consider this not being different as if the bank refused to release the funds you deposited. So I marked them as a SCAM, which I believe Justhost deserves. If I could rate them ZERO START I would. I rest my case and thank everybody for reading.

Wasn't bad at first but they have gotten cheaper and cheaper and became unreliable, effectively destroying my site. The contract said, "unlimited storage". Then after 2 years they started saying, "Unlimited isn't unlimited". Finally a bot tagged my account as being a violation and it was suspended. I pleaded my case that I was not archiving files (which is what they're trying to prevent), that those files were being used daily by my users. They were old files, but it wasn't storage. They agreed. 30 days later, same bot tags my account. Same process. This time they elect to drop my account. I deleted them all, bought space on Drive and continued a while before discovering TSO Host. Man, are they better! Should have done that long ago. Turns out justhost spun off a company doing...storage. What a scam. Very poor customer service. They'll shove 500 domains on one server and when one abuses it and brings all to their knees it takes them forever to respond. Avoid!

This webhosting company has resorted to picking up email details from owners of expiring domains and spamming them with offers of webhosting.... Would you trust a spammer with your website...?

I've been a platinum member for 5 years. I've had a fantastic experience with support, and with how well the severs hold up for my multiple sites. I'm thankful that JustHost maintains a low cost!

Just 2 month ago ago, WOT had Red status on it, and many bad reviews, i wonder what hack they did to make it green. I have a customer with this hosting, And i suffer a terible upload speed 4kb/sec through ftp.

I went on justhost.com website and when I want to talk to anyone on chat they keep banging on about discounts. I have not gone with them but thank god I did not there online support is rubbish.

These are valid criticisms I hope this company can address. They are my opinions in part, though are factual in the accounts. I would prefer to see them succeed rather than fail, and hope they listen. I hope you do too. To start off, let me say - I just don't put up with this stuff anymore. I don't have time. I pay them to do a very simple service. They do not do it, they waste my time. They screw up, they waste my time. They end up costing me 5x what I pay them. For 1.25 years I've I used JustHost as a mirror, until recently when I put a *very small* site on it that barely uses any resources (near zero). I assumed they could keep up a site that small ... First, let me say, there has *never* been any question about my resource use, so I'm not one of 'those guys' complaining about wanting to over-use a shared server. Let's start at the first problem I had with them, which is even more serious: I have some domains with them (their PipeDNS) on auto-renew. Well, this year they billed me, charged me, but then deactivated my primary domain -- apparently not realizing it was paid for. Fortunately it wasn't lost, just taken 'hostage' by them. I got it back, days later, thank goodness. They did say 'sorry'. They did not seem that concerned about tracking down the error that caused it, though maybe I misinterpreted the apathy I perceived. However, this was an egregious error, and had it been my primary site, I don't know what I'd do. I mean, to just 'take' a domain that the owner paid for? Wow! That's pretty hard core. If it has been lost to a squatter due to their errant systems, then I'd be screaming much louder. Worse, the server I'm on is very overloaded. My resource consumption is near zero in all respects. That isn't true for the other 1000 (?wild guess?) accounts they have on the server though. I consistently see very high load averages, the highest I've seen is 40.0! That is not a typo, a load average of 40.0! My goodness! Either kick the abusers and over-users, or quit overloading your servers. To differentiate me from the other ones on this server, I did get add a dedicated IP to my account there. As God only knows who else is on that server. This extra money spent was just extra money wasted, apparently. They can not even keep the most minimal site running reliably. I mean, it is absurd. In my opinion, they do not live up to their guarantees. .. or have not in my case. They appear to order all their dedicated servers from SingleHop, then resell them as shared hosting. Support is not that great. They just took my server down for 2 hours to run an fsck (disk check) without any warning or notice. It was likely directly or indirectly caused by the abusers or over-loading of their servers. As for all the good reviews, some are real, but they (like most hosting companies) have affiliate programs, and guess what happens? Yea,, you cynics can fill in the blanks there. UPDATE: During all this I asked to be moved to a new server that is not so overloaded. I specifically requested they coordinate with me first, but naturally they 'just did it' and told me afterwards. Fortunately, I anticipated such and had made a database backup, so only lost a few things. Still, it irks me. THE GOOD NEWS is that the new server is apparently one of their newer ones, yet to be overloaded, as it is as unloaded as can be.

Long downtime, hosted site is not responsible, SPF/DKIM settings always fail. Only support is doing their best, but that's not enough, the hosting is good only for private usage, nothing serios.

They certainly do use questionable business tactics, I would stay away from here.

Have not had a problem with their staff. Have seen very minor downtime, but I expect that for the price. Their bulk pricing is not a hidden fee, though it is advertised on the home page. Once a term, you will get automatically CHARGED, though this is standard for subscription-based purchases. Not everyone knows and expects this, however.

To all those complaining of "hidden fees"...you're really just not reading well enough. I see what you could consider to be a "hidden fee", but in reality those "fees" can be avoided very simply, and if you accidentally sign up for these services you can request a refund and they will give you your money back almost instantly. I am VERY happy with my site there, and I have a fairly high-traffic website. I've had 100% uptime, and customer support is fantastic. I'd recommend JustHost to any website owners!
