Is meritline.com Safe?

I have been buying from ***** for a couple of years. Have had 2 problems which they promptly fixed. Broken in shipping item. They refunded. I didn't like some jewelry. They refunded. Shipping back was at my expense. The items they ship international take a while to arrive, but they always do. They tell you where it will be shipped from. They do send email sales daily. But I like shopping there, so no problem for me. I usually don't buy big ticket items or electronics. Mostly cables, dvd media, cases, etc. Shipping is usually free or low cost. Their sales are great. I am usually very happy with my items and shipping. Happy customer.

I purchased a 1TB internal SATA hard drive. It arrived DOA protected only by a soft fabric envelope (no box, no padding, just the envelope). I sent it back (boxed and padded) with me eating the shipping, the insurance, and the USPS confirmation of arrival costs. The replacement hard drive I received was also DOA. I sent it back (boxed and padded) with me again eating the shipping, the insurance, and the USPS confirmation of arrival costs, but this time I also asked for a refund. The return was refused because according to the vendor this second return arrived damaged. How very convenient! I asked to be sent photos of the damage. The reply was no photos were taken. Exasperated I demanded the hard drive be returned to me and to also return the packaging I used to send it so that I might examine the package for evidence of the damage. The reply was the packaging had been discarded. The hard drive they sent back was clearly damaged, but (and this is a huge but) its serial number was NOT the serial number of the hard drive I returned to them at the time I asked for the refund. In other words this vendor was attempting a fraud!
