The site has lots of viruses because it was MADE to have viruses on it. Download at your own risk, though. It has some very good programs including bonzibuddy.

The instant I downloaded a file to my phone, the phone was taken over by a scam 'anti-virus' program which made it vibrate and kept popping up scary messages about a virus threat (which was itself of course!). Had to delete and run McAfee.

This site does not scan the software it hosts for viruses, but there a lot of free, quality programs on this site that are 100% clean, but there are also programs that are very malicious. This site itself is safe, but some of the files it hosts aren't necessarily safe. Treat this site like any other software portal, maybe with a little more caution.

This site isn't like popular sites like CNET, this is a basic upload/download site, but even if I say this, download at your own risk, the site does not even try to scan downloads before being uploaded.

This is a very good site for really back-linking, it sadly doesn't scan for Malware, Adware, ect.. It's as you say, use at your own risk.. That's really why the website is so low.. The file a user downloaded had some type of virus on it.

Please use strong AntiVirus when downloading from this website. Or at lease Google the file before downloading..
But it also hosts legit programs too..

Software listing website. Downloaded FBackup as well as doPDF from them and there were no security issues. So i don't understand the bad rating.
