Very cool and safe website used to unshorten link.

Completely safe - this website is meant for unshortening shortened links (like bit.ly, short.url, etc.) to see what's behind the link. It can't read websites that redirect you to a website before it brings you to the source (like Adfly) but is still helpful for URL shorteners not for that purpose. This website also gives you the WoT rating for the website (if available).

I find it very helpful to be able to "unshorten" shortened urls because it is often hard to determine the safety of the site a shortened url redirects to unless you visit it.

Your best bet is to stay away from all sites that use lots of shortened links. The opportunities for mischief simply are too great- but this could come in handy situationally.

Short URLs are handy in social networking services, like Twitter, where message length is limited, but they can easily cloak links to dangerous sites. Services which reveal the actual target of shortened URLs are critical to the security of modern internet users.
